The Idea
It all started in 1964 with the original founders discussing the idea during their regular games of Bridge. As members of the Old Age Pensioners Organization (OAPO #88), they envisioned being able to stay in their beloved community of Sooke as they aged. Four years later in 1968, they formed the Sooke Elderly Citizens’ Housing Society.
